By Claire Cocco from OCLC Digital Collection Services: We are pleased to announce that CONTENTdm 5 is now available. CONTENTdm 5 is a milestone release that includes a wide-range of enhancements throughout the software. These include a new search engine, full Unicode support, scheduled indexing, improved EAD handling, and expanded reporting capabilities . Additionally, CONTENTdm 5 introduces the Project Client, a new client application with robust features for creating and editing digital collections.
Documentation on the new release is available in the User Support Center. There you will find Installat ion and Administration Guides, a complete feature list, and Help files to assist you with using the new version . The new help files can also be accessed directly at www.contentdm.com/help5/ .
Additionally, the PowerPoint presentation and recording from the CONTENTdm 5 Overview Web sessions held for users is available in the User Support Center.
