Google’s enhancements for its Google Book Search API


Google just lunched some new tools for its’ Google Book Search API that allow other sites embed book previews, and even can search specific information within the book. The display of the book preview is customizable: see examples from WordCat.org and University of California libraries. For worlcat.org, the search box is on the up right of the book cover(as above image shows), followed the contents button, and along with zoom in zoom out and page browse buttons. While the search box on the Google Book preview display page from University of California libraries catalog is on the right side navigation panel. Search this title to see an example:
